Who Are We?
Morning Star Academy is a Religious Education Organization founded by Katie DeMello and Dawnette Willems. We currently have three full time teachers, three part time teachers, one part time aide, and some generous volunteers.
Mission Statement
Morning Star Academy seeks to glorify God by assisting families in guiding all children to transform into their full potential both spiritually and academically. The staff at Morning Star Academy believes in creating an atmosphere based on compassion, mercy, and forgiveness with reconciliation. We strive to cultivate habits of discipline clothed in truth and love; while providing instruction that considers the whole child resulting in a growth that will last eternally.
Curriculum
At Morning Star Academy, we provide a strong academic foundation using trusted, Christian-based curriculum while creating meaningful, hands-on learning experiences that inspire curiosity and a love for learning.
For grades 4–8, we use BJU Press curriculum for Math, Science, Language Arts, and History.

Learning extends far beyond textbooks. Our enrichment program is designed around the unique gifts and expertise of our teachers and parent volunteers, offering opportunities such as physical education, cooking and nutrition, art, book clubs, typing, music theory, and more.
Students also enjoy monthly field trips, nature studies, service projects, and special events that bring classroom lessons to life. These experiences encourage students to explore God's creation, serve their community, build lasting friendships, and develop practical life skills while reinforcing what they are learning in the classroom.
Number of Students
Morning Star Academy currently has 13 1st through 8th grade students enrolled. As God opens doors, we plan to prayerfully add additional students to our micro-school from 1st-8th grades.
Schedule
Tuesday-Thursday on campus 9am-3pm
Monday and Friday off campus times will vary based on monthly schedule.
